Figural corkscrew in heavy cast metal with a gilt finish, depicting an owl whose plumage is meticulously chased in relief. Its upper section is fitted with an ergonomic T-handle for operating the worm, while the lower section forms a cylindrical sleeve designed to rest on the bottle neck. The body bears the recessed mark of Bayerische Metallwarenfabrik (BMF), set within a triangular motif accompanied by the number “24”, as well as the wording “GERMANY”. Produced in West Germany circa 1960-1970, this bar accessory combines practical function with a Mid-Century aesthetic. It retains a beautiful lustre.
